An individual who works at home usually needs manuals and books so a nice bookcase or set of bookshelves would be a good idea in their home office. A telecommuting employee may need answers to questions they can’t find online or on the phone so they would need to turn to their manuals and books to help them figure out the solution.
Experts say that a small nap, one of about 15 or 20 minutes is ideal, as a powerful way to rejuvenate and reenergize oneself so having a daybed, small couch or futon in the home office would be a good idea. This would also be a place to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink to unwind and read materials needed for the work ahead.
Any type of furniture, bedroom, living room or office furniture, is a personal choice and should fit the individual and the work at hand. Instead of using old furniture such as that found at garage sales or hand-me-downs from friends and family members, starting out a home business or working at home with new furnishings for a home office space will make a world of difference in motivation and production.
